Game of the.....Quarter?

I meant to try this out last year, but it was too late in the year. I've kept up with my favorite game of each quarter myself, since I cannot remember what I have played and enjoyed when it's time for the GOTY stuff to come out. So I figured I'd ask, what was your favorite game of Q1 this year?

Can also be used after Q2, Q3, and Q4 if this thread hasn't died an early death.

My choices:

360 - Rainbow Six Vegas 2. Would have been a pretty good game, but after finding the code to play the entire game in 3rd person, Vegas ascended to the top of my list. Honorable Mention - Devil May Cry 4

PS3 - MLB 08 The Show. The game I almost got rid of in favor of MKB 2K8 (would have been a huge mistake) gets the nod here. Great game, and I don't even mind simulating some of my franchise (162 games is way too many to play). Honorable Mention - Army of Two.

Wii - Super Smash Bros Brawl. Don't really need to explain this one. Honorable Mention - No More Heroes

PSP - God of War: Chains of Olympus. Best game on PSP, and I like the fact that there's not a lot of bosses in the game. It makes the ones that are in there stand out. Honorable Mention - Crisis Core: FF VII (though I haven't played much of it).

Overall GOTQ - Rainbow Six Vegas 2. Much better than Vegas 1. The environments are varied and interesting, and I like unlocking equipment and creating my own character.

*Decided against putting this in System Wars, since I'm not putting this system vs that system. This is just about the games.

Well I've only played two 2008 games up to this point, so my GOTQ is pretty lame. That said, I like Rainbow Six Vegas 2 waaaay better than Professor Layton.

The only Q1 2008 game I actually bought is the MGS Essential Collection. The only other Q1 2008 game I played was Super Smash Bros. Brawl at my friend's place, and that game would get my nod for GOTQ. Awesome, awesome game.

Last year, I would have given the nod to March Madness 07, with an Honorable Mention to Bullet Witch. I played Lost Planet and Crackdown as well, but those two just didn't cut it for me.

R U guys playing Vegas online? I'm going to ick that up. I haven't playied anything new this year. Still haven't finished my last year games. All I've done is the tutorial in Assassins Creed. Oddly last week I just went through Gears of War 2 again. Did the patch address performance issues or were they just overstated I never remembered them. But the net seemed to think the game ran sluggish.

Oh snap I did play one new game this year. God of War on PSP I finished it in one sitting at a beauty salon waiting on my daughter. Fvcking awesome and a great argument for short games.

I'm only playing Vegas 2 offline. With the 3rd person view code disabled when on LIVE, I doubt I'll put this game online. The Campaign mode is good, though, so I'll still get my money's worth.

So far, my GOTY contenders are MGS4, NCAA 09, and Vegas 2, with Mercs 2 being the 4th game. Hopefully, these will get knocked down in rankings after October, with a possible 4 games having the chance to take out MGS4.
