The boards have been dead lately. And I mean...dead. So let's get things rolling shall we?

First off, Devil May Cry 4. Who has bought it? What's your opinions of it? I got mine last night at around 5:00PM from UPS. I'm currently on Mission 08. The graphics in the game are simply stunning. True, next-gen graphics at their finest. The cutscenes have not disappointed me yet. From the first moment, I noticed that Dante has become a more mature character, both in his appearance and manner. The Devil Bringer arm is my favorite "weapon" so far. I love smashing enemies back & forth, into objects and smashing them into the ground.

I picked up the Limited Edition. The question always is, "Is it worth it?" for the extra money? In this case, I don't think anyone can argue that it's a good value. You get a cool metal case with acetate cover for starters. You can turn the metal case around when you put it back into the plastic acetate sleeve, and you can then see Dante instead of Nero through the transparent area. Mine came with a bonus hardcover "Art of Devil May Cry 4" book. The package is rounded out with a cool bonus DVD and the first volume of the ADV animates series which contains the first four episodes. IMO, well worth the money for the extras.

Next up, Microsoft apparently knows that HD-DVD is a goner, and has since dropped the price of the 360 HD-DVD bundle from $179.99 to $129.99. In addition, several major electronics retailers are reporting that they have more "returns" HD-DVD players (this is including all the various brands, models, etc.) in stock than new stock. The exodus has begun, and within months, Blu-Ray will be the only next-gen movie format. UPDATE: Amazon is apparently ready to exit stage-right from HD-DVD immediately, and they are currently offering the 360 HD-DVD drive, free shipping and 6 free HD-DVD flicks for..wait for it....$79.99!

More news, IBM is moving the Cell proccessing to the 45nm high-k process. The result? Better chip yeilds, less heat production, less energy consumption and the chips will cost less. Coupled with the new, smaller Blu-Ray lense that Sony will be rolling out soon, this will have a significant impact on the cost of manufacturing the PS3. What does all this mean to the gamers out there? Look for a PS3 price-drop for the holidays.

Next, Eat Sleep & Play-the developer led by David Jaffe of God of War fame and members of Incognito (Twisted Metal Black) not only have a 3-game exclusive contract with Sony for PS3 titles, but clever gamers have found AND cracked a code hidden in Twisted Metal Head-On Extra Twisted. It says "Twisted Metal is on PSTHREE." A call to Jaffe confirmed their next title is indeed Twisted Metal for the PS3.

Capcom has registered a trademark for Lost Planet-Colonies and it has just received a "Teen" rating by the ESRB. In addition, development for Dead Rising 2 will apparently be handled by a US development team. Both are currently scheduled for the 360, no news on PS3 versions.

Hilary Goldstein, Editor in Chief of IGN Xbox 360 attacks the 360 and it's RRoD issues. He goes on to say that the PS3 will "utimately win out." It's in his podcast, link here: http://www.n4g.com/gaming/News-108049.aspx

Twisted Metal is probably the only other car game that I've really enjoyed outside of Burnout. Oh, and DiRT. Twisted Metal is a series that was made for online play, I just hope it follows the statements made by Black instead of any of the ones on the PS1. Online co-op will be as fun as vs!

We all know one of the other games that Jaffe is doing is GOW3. By then, I'll be done with DMC4 and Ninja Gaiden 2.

Did Incognito do Downhill Domination? I thought that game was cool as hell. Might've been from the dudes that did Motorstorm. Damn, where did they go wrong?

I've heard these rumblings on GT for about a week about Lost Planet next being 360-Exclusive, while PS3 owners get the original LP. I will definitely buy this one, because i thought the original was a very solid game.

Same goes for Dead Rising. i thought that game was superb, so did RBH. :DLOL

I've beaten DMC4 already. Going back through it in Human mode now to ramp up my abilities and get all the Blue and Purple Orbs I missed the first time around. After that, I'll tackle the next difficulty, Son of Sparda.

Yeah I bought DMC 4 a couple of days ago for the 360. So far I'm impressed with it. Like you 78 I cant get enough of that arm Nero has. I mean the combos you can put together now is just ridiculous. I'm having a blast with this. Cant wait for NG to arrive.

Where am I on DMC 4 so far? I'm on that level where this big ass fireball keeps coming down this long hallway. And it say that I have to have a certain power to where my sword must be able to reflect it in order to pass through. Something of that nature.

Plus something about four of those lighted things must be completed but be filled with animal something. Can anybody give me a small hand here on what to do?:aureola:

I havent heard the words"Twisted Metal" In a long time. Would be nice to play again. However, if I start to miss it I'll just buy the old ones for my PS2. Other than that good news so far for 08 78.:p

Decided to pick up DMC4 today, the game looks slick and it seems like a good challenge and good length, so i'll be choppin it up tonight.

I tried to rent it btw, but they didn't have it yet. So I rented Spider-man 3. Gotta say the old Treyarch games were good but now they are just getting old! Its nothing wrong with the game, it just plays like a highly polished version from the past. I guess some people like it when these nextgen games are similar to last gen but not me.

I enjoy both, but it really depends on what is being offered. Like the Spider-Man 3 game, I enjoyed it quite a bit because it was more of the same, only not as repetative as Spidey 2. Same goes for Halo 3. Not the trepetative part, just how it stayed basically unchanged.

Burnout Paradise is one where I say they did more wrong than right by giving us an open world instead of standard track selection. And Showtime mode is garbage. I was never a fan of Crash mode, but I'm less of a fan of Showtime.

I wouldn't want games like Ninja Gaiden and DMC to change too much, just refine what you have and add a little more to the classic formula that made the game great in the first place.

I believe you have to hang a right before the hall with the big fireball. You go through the dining room and some other areas. Once you receive the anima or whatever it is called, you can power up those spinning blades. You slash them with your sword to get them spinning, then slam them with the Devil Bringer to send them flying. After you get the power and release one in the hall behind the grated fence, you have to take it to the end of the hall and break a wall out to get the fourth. Bring them back to the empty pedestals to open the doorway. You will be running circles in this area for a bit. Just keep looking around.

I have to agree with Cuddly. I don't want last-gen games with new sequels such as Devil May Cry and Ninja Gaiden to change from what they were. If it's not broke, why fix it?

It seems that the knocks against Devil May Cry 4 are that it sticks to the original formula. WTF is wrong with that??? An "over-the-shoulder" ala RE4 style wouldn't work. It's about beating the $h!t out of everything and looking cool while doing it. The Devil Bringer adds alot to the game IMO. The graphics are just sick! I'm very pleased with the game. Just started mission 12 I believe where you play as Dante.

I hate this BS that when a new gen console comes out, it has to "innovate." Why? Did Ratchet & Clank Future innovate? NO! But it doesn't get bashed for it. Did Halo 3 innovate? Call of Duty 4? Anything? As long as a game is fun and draws me into the story it is weaving, I'm good.

A few people on this forum bashed R&C for being more of the same.

Anyway, I tend to agree with this sometimes and disagree with it sometimes. There really is no logic behind this, I guess it just depends on the game. If a new Final Fantasy game came out that was more of the same, I'd probably bash it. If a new Metal Gear Solid game came out that was exactly the same as the previous game, just different levels, then yeah I'd be pissed. These are games I EXPECT to be different each time around. Same with Splinter Cell, which is why I'm disappointed with that series so far. Games like Ratchet and Clank I don't expect to change much. I don't want Devil May Cry to change either. But I also didn't want Jak and Daxter to change, and by changing it around they completely f***ed the game's entertainment value (for me at least).

I guess it just depends on the game really. I'll bash the hell out of Halo for keeping the same formula, but I'll defend Tomb Raider for refining their system game after game. There's no logic here, just how much entertainment I get out of each game.

Speaking of Splinter Cell: The latest EGM has an articled called "Revenge of the PS3" in which they call MGS4 "PS3s answer to Splinter Cell Conviction" or something to that effect.

I picked up DMC4 Wednesday, but just the regular edition. I got the anime separately, though. In case there's a chance I get disappointed with DMC4 and want to part with it, I would rather not have to get rid of the Collector's Edition, since they don't seem to get too much more trade credit than regular edition of games, IMO. So far, the game is pretty good. I'm on mission 5.

Dead Rising sucks. Will always suck. Next Capcom game I'm looking forward to is Bionic Commando, and the devs just delivered the Alpha to Capcom. http://blogs.ign.com/CapcomBionicCommando/2008/02/08/79884/

A little aside:

Dante's cutscene's are effing awesome in DMC4. My personal favorites are Dante vs. Dagon, Dante vs. Nero (second encounter) and the beginning of Dante vs. Agnus which is classic Shakespere done with all the cheesiness of DMC. Gonna finish up Human mode and hopefully start Son of Sparda tomorrow.

"First off, Devil May Cry 4. Who has bought it? What's your opinions of it?"

Played the PS3 demo, liked it quite a bit. I like how you can jump real high and lock on, use the gun like mad and do this nice hover-round soften up maneuver. Solid engine and purrty graphics, seems to hold about 50 or 60 fps. Still, people hold the gun retarded and pose quite a bit, and the monsters look like the Flood...

"Next up, Microsoft apparently knows that HD-DVD is a goner, and has since dropped the price of the 360 HD-DVD bundle from $179.99 to $129.99. Microsoft bet on a lame horse, heh.

I predict Sony will eventually get the PS3 down to $250, that may be a while though.

"Next, Eat Sleep & Play-the developer led by David Jaffe of God of War fame and members of Incognito (Twisted Metal Black) not only have a 3-game exclusive contract with Sony for PS3 titles, but clever gamers have found AND cracked a code hidden in Twisted Metal Head-On Extra Twisted. I'm beat on Twisted Metal... I played a lot of PSP TM single player and a ton of multiplayer, unless they can find a way to make more varied multiplayer vehicle game I can't see playing it long. Basically most vehicle combat games I've played are just big ol' deathmatch, snore. Hard to make a team based vehicle shooter, I'll think on it. I like Vigilante 8 http://dreamcast.ign.com/articles/161/161945p1.html

"Hilary Goldstein, Editor in Chief of IGN Xbox 360 attacks the 360 and it's RRoD issues. He goes on to say that the PS3 will "utimately win out."

This is interesting, I've been thinking that most likely MS will have a new console out in 3 or 4 years, learn the lesson of abandoning a previous console by continuing 360 development long into the next rigs term and keeping everyone happy, and making dough. By doing this, Sony may view this as a win, because in 3 or 4 years the PS3 may outweigh the 360 console sales by a significant margin and make MS look desperate to re compete with shiny new box. The 360 will be around for a long while yet I guess.

I don't think MS backing HD DVD is so much as MS betting on a lame entry, but more MS doing whatever they can do give Sony a headache. MS backing HD DVD was a token defense against Bluray more than MS believing HD DVD would succeed, I think.

I will probably not play DMC4 these games are just too hard for my skillset and I don't have a PS3 anyway. I haven't even finished DMC1 so it's really not time for me to try DMC4.

As for nextgen games needing to innovate, this is bollocks. If everygame innovated none of us would be able to play the old genres we LIKE to play. For instance, everybody practically dropped oldschool RPGs such that the only games of this type we can play today are Etrian Odyssey. Basically there's a place for "old tried and tested" gameplay.

I like innovation if it makes the game better. Although It hasn't been released I love the direction they are taking the next Splinter Cell a helluva lot more exciting than what they are doing with MGS4. Which seems to still be infused with too many cutscenes and and a whole bunch of Menus during gameplay.

And the last said about Burnout Paradise the better.

R&C got bashed for not innovating not only because of that. But because it cut features from previous versions and it just wasn't as good as the others.

Haven't played DMC4 still playing Mass Effect then after that it's portal (i've had orange box for a while and only sampled portal) then it's Assassins Creed a gift from my Bro. Then I still want to go back through Bioshock. After that with the limited amount of game time I have GTAIV will be out and I'm defitnely getting that first day.

This year I'm not buying everthing day and date on release I'm taking my time through my games. I may pick up Frontlines though. My home internet is down for 2 weeks but when I'm back online I think I'll take this for a spin.

Its funny when 360 came out people said where is the innovation? The games look like polished XBOX versions! Then games like GRAW and GOW came out and showed us why the nextgen should be different. Now people are changing their tunes and all they want IS polished versions of last gen.

Anyway DMC4 is totally new to me because I've never played any, so that's why i'm enjoying this. I will say the game is not flawless! One of the biggest problems with the game is the basic demons you fight. They are boring as hell and they look absolutely ridiculously stupid! Like handicapped demon pirates with a flesh eating disease. When your basic enemy unit is boring and they throw thousands of them at you, it becomes monotonous extremely fast. Don't get me wrong, I like the game, it is beautiful, but each time I enter a new area I hold my fingers wishing some new enemy unit pops up.

Anyway, guess it will be a while before I find out now that my PS3 has died on me:cryin:

It's not about the enemies in DMC, TMG, it's about the variety in which you can dispatch them. I started the game yesterday(got to mission 5), and so far, I find it to be very good. So far, it's not nearly as difficult as DMC3, but that could be because 3 was very challenging, and my sword-fighting skills are much better for it. I haven't even used the gun at all, seems pretty pointless at this point.

Now in Ninja Gaiden, it's about the enemies whupping you down.

Oops, I also forgot to mention that Treyarch is doing the next Call of Duty which is due out this year, and it is going back to WW2.

I will just say that the PS3 is completely a hype train right now that has brainwashed so many people it makes me sad

If people enjoy the games on a system, it's not a "hype train." I can run through the games I bought for the PS3 and explain why I bought them.

Eye of Judgement: I wanted the camera, and the game is basically $30 then. Haven't played it yet, but Gadfly recommended it and it looks really cool.

Heavenly Sword: I've wanted to play this for some time. After picking it up, I couldn't put it down. It's far from a God of War clone, with the similarities ending at the "timed events" where you press specific buttons. The Weta Workshop motion capture took animation to a whole new level and it has one of the best, most satisfying endings I have seen in a game in a long time.

LAIR: I wanted to see what the hubub was about how difficult it was to control the dragon. I bought this one new on eBay for $20 new/sealed so it was a cheap investment. I have to say that I have absolutely no problems maneuvering my dragon around. Slight titls move your dragon easily in that direction while tilting hard makes the dragon bank hard. There is no HUGE delay in the response and in fact if you look closely, you can see your rider tugging the dragon in that direction. So to me, that's pretty realistic, and those who have ever rode horses can understand this. The only move I have had ANY trouble with is the 180 turn which I can nail about 50% of the time.

Motorstorm: Another eBay cheapie at $20 new/sealed. I always called this game a demo because of it's lack of features/tracks. There are some download tracks available on PSN that I may look into.

Ninja Gaiden Sigma: I buy everything Ninja Gaiden. This was the first game that really made me look enviously at the PS3. Basically a director's cut of the Xbox games, it has some cool new levels, in-game cutscenes and is just as fun as the originals.

Ratchet & Clank Future: The originals were OK, and I wanted to see if these games actually looked "Pixar Quality." I can say, yes-the game looks fantastic.

Resistance Fall of Man: The only launch game worthwhile and my lone consideration of a PS3 purchase until Sigma was released. While I found the game kinda ho-hum at the beginning, it really ramped up and I had a blast. The ending was excellent and I cannot wait to play Part Two.

Uncharted-Drake's Fortune: A Naughty Dog game? Sign me up! Naughty Dog has been one of my favorite developers since the original Crash Bandicoot. This game was fantastic and the first PS3 game that I completed.

Unreal Tournament 3: I was going to buy this game, no questions asked when it came out on the 360. But I couldn't wait any longer. In addition, the free mods you can easily download (over 60 last time I counted) that the 360 version WON'T have sealed the deal. This was THE game that finally broke me. I bought a PS3 after reading an article about UT3 in OXM and then seeing it in Wal-Mart that same day.

Devil May Cry 4: I was going to buy this game regardless, but I bought it on PS3 because I tend to keep series on their "home console."

In addition, because of the Xbox 360's dysmal failure rate and more & more info leaking out that Microsoft intentionally released a flawed system to beat Sony to market, I have been shuffling future purchases over to the PS3. Grand Theft Auto IV, Soul Calibur IV and Resident Evil 5 are all games that I was going to purchase on 360, but will now purchase on the PS3. Same as with DMC4 and Unreal Tourney 3.

What do you think of it so far, CK? I turned DMC4 on the other day and it showed that you'd made it to mission 5. I'm waiting until I beat the game on SoS before I post any in depth impressions. I will say one thing though, Dante in this game is my favorite incarnation of the character so far. Not so much gameplay wise because there's some aspects that I think Capcom messed up but personality wise, I loved his performance in this game.

Cuddly Knife
02-11-2008, 01:30 PM
The game is sick, but if not for allowing Dante as a playable I would be docking it for length and extreme repetativeness, because we're basically playing it through to a point, possible SPOILER-->and then going in reverse for the second half of the game, then we get to throw down with all the major foes near what I'm assuming is the end of the game. I think right now I'm on chapter 20.

Other than that little blemish, the game is almost on par with DMC3, and in certain areas, it excels. Nero's grabs(ground and arial) are sweet-looking and varied, and I haven't even still really messed with Exceed for power. I did buy the Ability to instant Exceed though, and that made things more timing-based in my favor for some power-shots. It was rare though for me to get it maxed-out though, and I also haven't purchaced any upgrades for it other than the first. Everything(proud souls) basically went to my offensive sword skills, Yamato, and Devil Bringer. I'm a fool, though. Because I never got into using my gunz, I didn't realize that there were certain enemies where their shields/barriers/skins could be dropped, making them extremely weak and easy to wup on. I also haven't upgraded my gunz. I thought about using the Auto skill up, but I should be able to figure out what I want by now, so I didn't.

I love Dante as a character, even more now than from DMC3 where I thought he was a total bad-ass, and the series is really doing him well as he develops more. His parts in the story are really well-done, and his cut-scenes are excellent. Gameplay-wise, I found him more user-friendly, and for the first time, I find myself busting out Smokin'-Sick Stylish combos almost at will. Almost. Could be because they may have re-vamped the combo system? His ability for instant style/weapon/gunz changes are amazing. I loved my Cerberus weapon from DMC3, and wish something like that would've made it in here but it's all good with what they give. I'm not too skilled with Gilgamesh. Luci, I haven't messed with yet, and Pandora, WTF!? I mean that in a good way, too. Dante also now has a different kind of flow compared to DMC3. Maybe he just looks more smooth with animations, or his moves have been refined and reimagined, but there's definitely something different in his feel. Not a bad thing, IMO, because it appears that I can control him better now. I thought about doing what you did and take it to Human mode next to up my skill, but I thought I read that they included a Bloody Palace deal in here? If that right, then I might just try to up my levels through that so I don't burn myself out on the regular game in such a hurry, and I really just want to play a bunch with Dante.

slade
02-12-2008, 12:03 AM
They gimped Bloody Palace somewhat in this game. There's no longer 9999 levels. There's only 99 levels and you can only go up by one. And they've tacked on a time limit for no special reason. You can keep extending the time if you finish off each level quickly but it still isn't as gratifying as not having a time limit at all. I started with Dante and got up to level 17 before my time finally ran out. Got a whole bunch of proud souls and red orbs though.

Just curious, from a sys wars point of view, is one of the versions of DMC4 better than the other?

I haven't played the 360 version, but the only differences I hear about are

1) The PS3 version has the mandatory install at the beginning which the 360 doesn't.

2) The PS3 controls work better than the 360 controls as the DMC series is based on the Sony controller.

But that's about all I have heard. The transitions between areas (through doors, etc.) are quick, but when you first fire the game up and at a few other times, a big "LOADING" block appears in the middle of the screen for quite some time.

Gotta say, I love the new background you get for the main title screen after beating the game. It's Dante and Nero sitting on a couch. It just looks cool.

I've beaten the game once now on Human. I was disappointed when I began playing as Dante. Nero's Devil Bringer added so much to the game IMO. I love how I could grapple enemies to pull myself close to them (big enemies) or pull them to me (smaller enemies). And hands-down the best killing I have ever laid on an enemy has to be when Nero grabs the White Knights lance and rams it through their chest four or five times...and if you are in the air, he does it mid-air!

I just have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed this game.

And hands-down the best killing I have ever laid on an enemy has to be when Nero grabs the White Knights lance and rams it through their chest four or five times...and if you are in the air, he does it mid-air! The amount of stabs also depends on if you keep tapping the button. I like the death for the gold knight. Suplex and drop kicks rule. Also, the grab on the final guy was very smoothe. My favorite grabs have to be the one with Berial, you slam him, then still have enough time to do another grab and punch.

Nero is a bad-ass, but it's obvious that Dante is on another level completely. For some reason, my battle against his was harder the second time on Human compared to Devil Hunter. I had more health and DT and everything, and he still put down some scraps. Better than any Dante vs Virgil fight, it was. I wasn't too impressed with the final boss though.

I thought the time limit for the Bloody Palace was kind of weak, but it hasn't affected me yet. The only way I could see it doing that is if we have to fight bosses. 99 rooms, huh? Well, I never got past a couple of thousand in DMC3, so 99 straight is a good deal. I tried it once with each guy, and got to level 14 with both before getting mudered by the knights. SOmething Angelo is their name, I believe.

You do have to fight the bosses in Bloody Palace. I think every twentieth fight should be a boss fight. Not too sure though since I only tried the mode once.

The best grab in the game has to be the DT Buster on the Gold Knight. Three suplexes into an Izuna Drop for the win.

Since this thread is on things hot in February. What do you guys think of Lost Odyssey, its getting fairly good reviews, it seems as though its a pretty classic JRPG. A pretty gorgeous one at that. I'll give it a rent.

I want LO, but I really wanted to get Eternal Sonata for my first RPG this generation, outside of Oblivion. I passed on Blue Dragon until it comes down in price, but I would definitely like to try out one of those Mistwalker games for the traditional RPG turn-based style. More interested in these games than Mass Effect, except for Blue Dragon.

Tales Confirmed For Xbox 360
Bandai Namco confirms new game in popular series is coming to Microsoft.
by John Tanaka

February 21, 2008 - You wouldn't usually expect a new Tales game to debut in a magazine outside of Japan, but that's apparently what has happened with Bandai Namco's Tales of Vesperia. Following the game's announcement at December's Jump Festa event in Tokyo, a magazine outside of Japan was the first to get the full word on the game, along with confirmation of Xbox 360 as the platform.

This development attracted the attention of (and possibly confused) the editors over at Famitsu and Famitsu.com, the usual sources for Japanese game scoops, so they got on the line with Bandai Namco's PR department for re-confirmation.

Famitsu.com posted its conversation with the Bandai Namco PR department in the form of a short Q&A.

Asked if it's true that the game will be released on the Xbox 360, the PR department responded, "Yes, we have decided to release TOV overseas on the Xbox 360."

Asked if the game will be released only on the 360, "We've decided to release TOV on the Xbox 360, but regarding other platforms, we're looking at all possibilities."

Finally, asked if the game will come to the Xbox 360 even in Japan, "Regarding Japan, everything is currently TBA. We expect to be able to make an announcement shortly."

Motorstorm 2 in 2008, super PS3 game in 2009
Feb 25, 2008 @ 3:13pm
Summary:
Motorstorm 2 is coming this Christmas, says the BBC, with a "secret" PS3 game to follow in 2009, the likes of which left reporter Darren Waters "speechless."

Full Text:
Super PS3 game coming in 2009?

Super PS3 game coming in 2009?

According to the BBC after speaking with Sony Computer Entertainment, Motorstorm 2 is set for release this winter and will take place in a "lush island environment, full of interactive vegetation" as opposed to the desert levels of the first game. The game will also support four-player split-screen, says BBC.

Perhaps more newsworthy (though highly speculative) is an unannounced game scheduled for release next year that reportedly left BBC's Darren Waters amazed when viewing behind closed doors.

He writes, "All I can say is that I was left speechless. If the footage I was shown truly is 'in game' as told to me by the Sony PR people, then we could be on the brink of a step change in what game consoles are capable of in terms of story-telling and immersion."

Perhaps the PS3 is finally ready to distance itself from the competition, something Sony marketing has long since promised. The setting for MS2 sounds cool, and I'm super-stoked about split-screen. Just give me less-floaty cars, custom ost, and no Wolfmother, and I'll be stoked and declare this game better than Paradise, assuming it doesn't go all open-world on us.

As for the mystery game, well, I think I've heard all this before. Hell, we've even seen it. Killzone 2. Just for the daft, I'm not saying KZ2 is the game, I'm saying that we've seen this through KZ2 already.

I dunno, Cuddly. Here's another review of Viking.

Even then, I wouldn't go by two reviews to determine if a game is worth playing or not.

Yeah, I think I'm gonna start renting games. I'm not really playing much games these past few weeks, spending all my time and cash on my drums and individual practice, so I'm thinking that games that don't draw my attention immediately might never get a chance. Hell there are games that I want right now that probably won't ever get a chance, because I just feel kind of MEH towards my favorite hobby. I think it was all the shooters.

The main thing that put me off of Viking on the videos was the choppiness of the action, and the lame graphics. The revews do give props to the graphics though, which means that things must've been polished up quite a bit from the release of those vids.

I just want a new Otogi.

I can't rent games. With the way I jump on and off games, and the short amount of time I have during the weekdays, I would just end up wasting money with the rentals just sitting there. Also, the two rental places in my city (Blockbuster and Hollywood Videos) are good for having scratched discs in their stores, and my 360 doesn't like to play scratched games/movies.

I've played DMC4 all the way through (yes on Human mode as well) this game is one of the few that actually ranks up there in the games that have come out with 4 versions and they have ALL ROCKED!!
