Can anyone give me an analytical comparison of nba live 2004 & espn basketball? I have purchased nba live, and I am enjoying the game, but I want to see if I am missing something in espn basketball. Truth be told I have been playing the nba 2k series for the last 3 years and recently jumped shipped because of the improved gameplay of nba live and for a different looking basketball game. So which basketball game is the best?

I have played both games. I think you should stay with nba live. Live has a better feel with the controls for one thing. I like playing live better and you can play with tsliders if it's too easy with live. Espn has about the same diffculty curve as live. The one thing that is a minus about espn is that you have to push down on the controls harder you have to press and hold like for a shot button. I think you'd enjoy espn also but thats my opinion cause I enjoy playing live a lil more than espn. The new iso motion is hard to learn but I think you will enjoy the game.

I'll break down the espn and live

Controls:Live
Graphics Tie
Gameplay:Espn
Sound:Live
Commentary:Espn
Fun factor:Live

Best feature for espn:24/7 mode and it's countless modes street and one on one.

Best feature on live:NBA store get old school jersey and some gear.

ESPN 2004 has gotten better reviews than Live 2004. But most people you talk to will recommend NBA Live. I think the reviews of the games rely too hevily on graphics and...well...graphics. NBA Live is a sweet B ball game.

I have NBA Live 2004. I think it's the shizzle.
