DULL!
Don't you guys think? Like the best thread we have going is the thread on "The Hardest games of this generation", which BARELY breaks two pages. And then of all those sales threads that keep floating around where they don't get more then 10 replies. Now, this just recently started to happen, like a week ago, right around the time that Game was banned from posting or replying, coincidence, I THINK NOT. Now I know some of you despise Game, relentless, you can't argue that he did create a spark around here!

"Spark", pffft.
That's not what I'd call it. LOL!

You could say that he created a lot of "traffic", though.
But that's about it.

Yeah, there's a lot less posting going on... but at the same time, I see a lot more posts that are actually about videogames and game systems. Hmmm? Coincidence?

For one, its a lull between storms. . . the big holiday games are starting to come out and there will be more to argue over, like which system Prince of Persia is best on  And just wait until more holiday sales figures come out, and next month when the PS2 and Xbox roll out their new sales bundles.

Yeah, there's a little less posting since Evolution has departed, but did you ever notice he personally accounted for about ten posts per thread, and most of it was utter non-sense, just plain illogical garbage, and that was when he wasn't being a sick freak. The other increased traffic was the fruitless banging of heads trying to reason with the fool.

There's been the nice flare ups here and there, but they've all been centered around content, like Trebor Vs Massimodo in the "GC is # 2" thread. Interesting stuff from boths sides, logical, and also with knives drawn. That's systems wars.

The stench of stupidity that Evolution brought to these boards is not missed. Not by me anyway.

How many threads do you see with subjects that have to do with "what this site rated this game" and how many titles of threads have words like IGN, EGN, SALES, alot, nowadays, I'm not saying that these threads are bad topics, just theres way too many of them, and it's getting ridiculous.

Are you suggesting that we all result to mindless flaming then?

Well, earlier we thrashed over who was going to have the best fall line-up. No clear winner there, though its arguable that Mario Kart is the single most anticipated game of the season.

We had Xbox and GC both launch games with flight and combat, but that didn't last long. It's pretty clear Crimson Skies was the better game, regardless if Rogue Squadron sells better.

And finally, the last big discussion was ALL nintendo, becuase Nintendo fired the first shot of the holiday systems wars with the price drop. Now we are waiting to see how that works out for them after its been in place for a full month (and not just one week in September.) What is going to be really fun is to see how Microsoft and Sony respond in November; obviously neither wants to be seen as responding to Ninendo, thus the wait, but there's no doubt they will both be doing something big in November. That will definitely give us something to talk about again.

Plus, with all the games coming out, its no wonder there's less activity here. We're all too busy playing games.

In the meantime, we can probably attack Sony for awhile. They just laid off 20,000 or more employees. And how can they make any money when their system is flooded with cheap games. Sony (and MS, too, to an extent) are creating a whole class of gamers who will never buy anything for more than $20, and this may will lead to a bit of a collapse in the industry.

I didn't know that "the Game" Reloaded was literally canned from this site. Although I certainly DID notice his absence. LOL!!! I was waiting and waiting for him to bring up the Rebel Strike reviews in every single thread that might or might not have had to do with Nintendo.

Not mindless flaming, but a few well thought out flames is OK.

I can't believe the Game got banned permanently...
I knew he got on everyone's nerves from time to time, but he was definitely part of this gaming community!
Sometimes even stupid flaming wars generate more traffic from curiosity, and more traffic is definitely what this site needs.

Yea, we should petition to allow game to come back...that is unless he doesn't know how to spoof his IP and change out his NIC.

If you ask me, if you're gonna ban game, ban geezer as well because they both egged eachother on to the point of insanity.

Yeah, it's an unwritten agreement that dumb flames are bad and well thought out flames that actually have an argument underneath, are good.

Who are you now Tappy, the new mod around here? I don't know what happened to "The Game." I was gone for a day or so playing games and when I returned, he was banned. How or why I do not know nor do I care. The boards have been clean and decent since his departure. It doesn't take an Einstein to see that.

Why don't you make a petition? The worst that will happen is the mods will delete it.

That's my main reason for not posting as much, even though I'm not much of a "system wars" person anyway.

We want "The Game"!! We Want "The Game"!! We want "The Game"!! We Want "The Game"!! We want "The Game"!! We Want "The Game"!! We want "The Game"!! We Want "The Game"!!

Man, I can't believe that there's someone out there who actually wants "The Game" back, if he actually is gone. I wasn't aware that he was banned. He's been away from these boards before for extended periods of time.

As for a spark, man, you have to be kidding. What exactly did Game contribute that we're missing out on, pray tell, inquiring minds want to know. And you'll have to be a little more specific than the boy had "spark".

I know that there were many occasions where he was off topic, goofy, or a bit gross but at least he did put up a decent fight. The thing is that there are actually others on this board that offer far less than The Game. Just look at some of the posts lately---not only are they non-informative but some are just plain drivel.

Let me put this theory to rest right now - if someone is banned, no petition will bring them back. Sorry guys. This is not a democratic issue, and pushing this issue may end up hurting your credibility with our moderating team. If you don't want a user to get banned, send them some private advice that will help prevent them from getting banned in the first place. We may choose to ban people temporarily, depending on the circumstance, but it will be OUR choice, not that of the members on who we reinstate, and when we reinstated them.

Any "petition" will likely hurt that member's chance of getting reinstated.

I've already discussed this in another thread. We refuse to explain in detail when someone gets banned. You can be assured that he violated the Terms of Use, and we made the decision to ban him. Whether some people agree with our decision or not, it isn't open for debate. What everyone can take from it, is that they are responsible for their posts now. It would be a good idea for everyone to be a little more conscious of what they post in the forums from now on.

Our decision is not open for public debate. Move on people.

Good riddance as far as I'm concerned.

Now if we can only get Waxx to stop whining and cluttering up the boards...

At the rate Whaxx is going, he could be the next one to get waxed, making his cyberhandle a self-fulfilling prophecy.
