This is the project to make the LAN enabled nintendo games playable online. It is still in an alpha version and has framerate issues. Still, as this comes along, this might be something that makes the nearly perfect 10 rated Mario Kart into an 11.

errr...this approach has already be attempted with Xbox with www.gamespy.com and www.xbconnect.com so Nintendo achieves nothing but being the copycat.

Ehh...doesn't it mean they achieve online gameplay?

maybe so but the experience wasn't a good one on Xbox so what makes you think it'd be any better on GC?

Well, if it becomes popular, then it will show Nintendo, without a doubt, that Cube fans want online games. Which will, in turn, hopefully speed along their online plans.
Besides, why was the experience not a good one on Xbox? I thought you love online gaming.

Xbox Live yes... XBconnect and gamespy is completely different from live...
Cubers still dreaming of online. Pathetic or what. Well, you guys could always put together a Kirby's Air Ride lan party. Wouldn't that be the schiznit.
I hate to break it to the cube guys, but there's actually nothing stopping third party developers from supporting the cube online. Nintendo has the broadband and modem adaptors out there. The modem adaptors are mega cheap now at EB as they're clearing them out.
Cubers always talk about how EA is stiffing xbox live. Well, EA isn't doing anything on the cube online either, and they could if they wanted to. Instead, they seem to be going along with nintendo's great gba connectivity thingy as a replacement for an online option.
At least with xbox live, EA knows that there a half-million subscribers out there as a market they can tap into. With the cube, well, I'm kind of curious as to how many people actually signed up for PSO on the cube, the cube's current online lineup.
The longer Nintendo stays out of the online race, the harder it will be for them to establish a base of online gamers. Too many of the gamers interested in online will be on xbox live or the various ps2 online initiatives.

Did Nintendo execs burn down your house or something? They have therapy for people like you.

sorry for that snide remark. I have a friend trying out the online thing soon and if the results are right then I will get GC.
